All For Science: Making Science Fun Through Play in Tanzania

Dr. Lwidiko Mhamilawa is transforming science education in Tanzania by combining learning with play through STEM-themed parks. These innovative parks, created by Projekt Inspire, offer interactive science experiences where children can engage with experiments and tools like drones, virtual reality, 3D printers, and centrifugal force machines in a playful environment. By sparking curiosity and excitement, the initiative fosters a passion for science among young learners and invites community participation. Dr. Mhamilawa’s mission is to shift public perceptions of science and to expand these “science playgrounds” across Africa, creating a new generation of inspired scientists.
